The Easytest represents a simplified version of the standard VLF test. It has been designed to verify operational integrity versus operational reliability, which is the objective of a standard VLF test in accordance with the respective standards.
Typically, a simplified test is performed in accordance with company specifications after repairs or after a new cable or circuit has been installed. The purpose of such a test is to verify the integrity of the cable and there accessories before switching the circuit back into operation. The Easytest allows such a test at voltages well above operating voltage in order to provide a safe indication regarding operational integrity.
The portable, high-performance and energy-efficient VLF test systems are used for testing cables with 0.1 Hz cosine-rectangular voltage according to IEC/IEEE/CENELEC standards. In accordance with guidelines, the dielectric strength of cables and joints must be checked after installation or repair.
The VLF test systems from SebaKMT have high test-capacities and are still compact, because of the patented voltage wave-shape and the power-recycling during polarity reversal. Aside from cable and sheath testing, the test systems can also be used for the precise pinpointing of sheath faults (in combination with a step-voltage probe).
Powerful 0.1 Hz VLF test system with energy recovery for testing of cables with Cosine Rectangular wave voltage according to VDE and IEC.
In accordance with most regulations, cables and joints must be tested after installation or repair. The SebaKMT VLF Test System CR 80 kV can be used to test cables with operating voltage levels up to 46 kV. The system consists of a control unit and a HV unit. The high test capacity of 2.5 μF permits simultaneous testing of all three phases. Positive and negative DC testing of cables and connected switchgear can be carried out by switching over to DC Mode.
The advantages of the VLF method with 0.1 Hz Cosine Rectangular wave voltage have been proved by extensive scientific research as well as practical field tests. The method is recommended in the VDE, the harmonisation document IEC HD 620 and 621 as well as by the IEEE 400.
This VLF Test System CR 80 kV can be used as stand-alone system or as a fully integrated part of a test and fault location system.
The VLF sine wave 34 kV is a compact, robust and portable VLF sine wave test system for medium voltage cables. Due to the air cooling, the VLF sine wave 34 kV can be used without any interruption and is therefore ideal for all users who will be testing with 0.1 Hz sine wave voltages.
The VLF testing system is easy to use, thanks to its single-button operation and clear, simply structured menu and colour display. In addition to sine wave AC, its output voltage shapes also include positive and negative DC, square wave and pulsed DC for sheath-fault pinpointing.
Together with the optional available step-voltage probe ESG NT, sheath faults can be precisely pinpointed by using the step voltage method. Moreover the VLF sine wave 34 kV can be upgraded to an accurate testing and diagnostic system with the optional available tan delta test attachment.
The VLF sine wave 45 kV with integrated tanDelta is a compact, robust, and portable high-performance test and diagnostic system for medium voltage cables.
The 45 kV tester is a multifunctional tool: apart from VLF and DC testing, it also performs sheath testing and sheath fault pinpointing (in combination with the step voltage probe ESG NT). Moreover, the optional internal tanDelta expands the system to assess both cable integrity and condition.
The smart VLF system automatically adjusts the test frequency to the cable length, making even tests on 25 kV rated cables (up to 25 km) easy and reliable.
The VLF Sinus 54 kV is the ideal system for all users who want to or must test with a genuine 0.1 Hz sine wave voltage. The VLF testing system can be perfectly integrated in a fault location system or in combination with an OWTS and the optional tanDelta test attachment as part of a diagnostic test van. The system is designed for continuous operation which prevents unnecessary waiting times and increases test efficiency drastically.
Using a USB stick, logs can be conveniently created in.csv format, enabling further data processing, and are also saved in Easyprot format (software supplied) for clear and structured reports. Sheath faults can be precisely pinpointed by using the step voltage method in combination with the optional available step-voltage probe ESG NT.
The HV Tester 25 kV is a high-voltage generator with a variable negative DC output voltage of 0 - 25 kV. The condition of the test object with regard to electrical strength and insulation quality can be determined on the basis of the unit's readings for output voltage and current. Due to its small size and internal battery this test-system is ideal for test-conditions where no external power supply is available.
The high voltage test unit T99/1 is a portable and powerful test device able to generate a DC voltage of up to 40 kV. The T 99/1 is used for testing of cables, cable accessories, plant and installations. Because of the short-circuit proof design and high output current of the T 99/1, this is device is also suitable for cable fault location (in conjunction with a TDR unit).
The HV Test Set is a cable tester for DC voltage testing of cables and cable installations in accordance with the international standards. It consists of an operation unit and HV unit. Due to its small size and low weight the test sets can easily be transported and used on-site. The HV Test Set is available in three versions (50/80/110 kV DC).
The AC voltage test sets HPA 35 to 78 are suitable for 50 Hz AC testing of test objects with a low capacity. In addition to 50 Hz AC testing these units can also be enhanced to a DC test set, (see DC-Test Systems).
The AC Test Set HPA 100 is a powerful test set. The unit has been designed for mounting in cable test van and can be used for testing of cable systems and for burning down high-resistance cable faults with a high breakdown voltage. The test set can be equipped with a rectifier attachment for DC testing up to 130 kV. Since the own noise-level of the test system is below 1 pC, it is also suitable as a voltage source for PD-measurements.
The AC Voltage Test Set T 22/1 is a portable test set consisting of two separate units: the control unit and the high-voltage unit. This division enables the operator to use the test set on site without transport aids. The test set can be equipped with a rectifier attachment for DC voltage testing up to 80 kV.
Testing, prelocation and pinpointing of sheath faults. Easy, precise and fast .
The intuitive, menu supported operator guidance of the MFM 10 work with the approve SebaKMT Easy-Go principle. The fully automatic measurement and evaluation of the measured data gives the operator a fast, easy and reliable tool to test the sheath of cables, and to perform a prelocation and pinpointing of detected faults.
The bipolar prelocation supports the detection of galvanic and thermoelectric influences and increases the prelocation accuracy and quality.
In our user area under the topic "Software" you can find the latest firmware of the MFM 10.
The sheath test system MMG 10 is used for the voltage testing of plastic insulated cable jackets. The test evaluated the leakage current in respect to the cable lengths. An adjustable current limiter avoids an eventual drying or unintended change of a fault spot. The high output current can also be used for the low resistive burning of a fault. For pinpointing of sheath faults in plastic insulated shielded cables and earth faults in unshielded cables, the MMG 10 provides a pulsed output voltage. The pinpointing is done by the step voltage method with the Earth fault locator ESG 80-2 / ESG NT.
The MMG 10 can also be used as Burn voltage supply for the Arc Reflection Burning with the ETF 3.
The earth fault locator ESG NT is used for the high accuracy pinpointing of a sheath fault. State of the art technology in connection with a bright, sun readable TFT color Display allows an very easy use.
The display happens by a bargraph, similar to the analogue display or by a history display, which shows the deflections of the last 7 pulses. A fully automatic calibration keeps the display always at zero and the integrated noise suppression eliminates all influences by DC, Railway currents, industrial plants and high resistive soil environment. By two earth rods, the ground step voltage potential is measured and the direction towards the fault is indicated by the display.
The ESG NT is also available as combination set with the digiPHONE+ in one unit.
Earth fault locator for fault location in isolated, earth free systems
Important control, signal and supply systems, such as those for railway installations, hospitals, power plants or other industrial facilities, are designed to be potential free (for example IT systems) and are monitored by earth fault indicators in order to ensure safe and uninterrupted operation.
A single earth fault will cause no service interruption. Only with the occurrence of a second earth fault a high risk of partial or complete breakdown of the installation arises. For this reason, any earth fault must be located and repaired as fast as possible. This fault location is done by the Geolux GL 660-1. The GL 660 is directly connected to the faulty line with life voltages up to 660 V, and generates a low frequent signal which allows the tracing by a specific receiver along the faulty line to the fault position.
